The Ministry of Public Works, Housing & Transport is the cabinet-level administrative office in charge of “planning, directing, controlling and building the public infrastructure & public assets. It’s one of the first ministries of Puntland government of Somalia established on 1998 in Garowe the Capital city of Puntland. Its Headquarter Office located in Garowe and it has Regional and District level offices in Puntland.

MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER

The Ministry of Public Works, Transport, and Housing is engaged in the reconstruction, and maintenance of government infrastructure, and public buildings, which serve the public such as (hospitals, schools, and community centers) also Quality-control, Land Transportation in Puntland, the ministry has focused on the development of public infrastructure. as well as public buildings, based on this the ministry carries out extensive work in Puntland government areas, also the ministry regularly inspects all the works it manages and the work it contracts with local companies.
